O USO DE ATIVIDADES LÚDICAS NO PROCESSO DE REVELAÇÃO DO DIAGNÓSTICO DE CRIANÇAS QUE VIVEM COM HIV/AIDS
Abstract
O Ambulatório de Crianças e Adolescentes do Setor de Infectologia (AICA) do
Hospital das Clínicas da FMRP-USP conta com um nurnero aproximado de 180
crianças e adolescentes portadores de HIV/AIDS. Desde 0 ana de 2001, a equipe
multidisciplinar vem desenvolvendo e utilizando um método para esclarecer e
revelar 0 diagnóstico a seus pacientes. As crianças são selecionadas e agrupadas,
com faixa etária a partir de 7 anos de idade, num maximo de 6 crianças.
Paralelamente, os pais e/ou cuidadores destas crianças tarnbern são agrupados
e 0 processo para ambos os grupos ocorre em 8 encontros mensais. A cada
encontro com as crianças, um tema e abordado através da utilização de atividades
lúdicas. Durante os grupos coordenados pela terapeuta ocupacional, observou-
se que além de lúdicas e educativas, as atividades tem a função de suprir
necessidades urgentes e, portanto, não devem ser simplesmente oferecidas,
mas sim participadas e mediadas pelo terapeuta. Conclui-se que as atividades
lúdicas são instrumentos apropriados para serem utilizados durante 0 processo
de revelação de diagnóstico de HIV/AIDS a crianças, entretanto, e fundamental
atentar para as características intrínsecas das atividades, principal mente tratando-
se de um processo que vai além da informação.
