RETRATO DE UMA CRECHE: POSSIBILIDADES DA ATUAÇÃO DA TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL (0-2 ANOS)
Abstract
Este artigo descreve uma intervenção proposta através de um Projeto de Extensão, junto a um berçário de uma creche. Através dessa intervenção, foi possível criar um retrato, uma reprodução da realidade diária de uma creche publica municipal, localizada em bairro da periferia de uma cidade de médio porte do interior paulista e uma conseqüente interpretação dessas ações, dentro de uma concepção que envolve contextos sócio-político, cultural, econômico e pedagógico do que significa a creche e como ela esta inserida no processo de desenvolvimento da criança. Foi desenvolvido durante 0 1 Q semestre de 1999 e revelou que as educadoras não estavam preparadas para a função de cuidar e educar crianças pequenas, sendo possível verificar a falta de formação destas mulheres, suas dificuldades em compreender 0 papel do educador e da creche, as deficiências de espaço e de estímulos para 0 desenvolvimento infantil das crianças na faixa etária de 0-2 anos. Significou a formulação de um envolvimento em busca de uma reconstrução da pratica adotada com as crianças; valorizando uma compreensão do papel ativo da criança no seu próprio processo de desenvolvimento, de uma função educativa da creche, de sua função no desenvolvimento da criança, suas possibilidades e contradições e alterações do ambiente desta instituição.
