O BRINCAR E A CRIANÇA COM DEFICIÊNCIA FÍSICA: A CONSTRUÇÃO INICIAL DE UMA HISTÓRIA EM TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL
Abstract
Considerando o brincar, segundo Donald W. Winnicott, como tempo e espaço vividos pelo sujeito de modo criativo e singular, este artigo tem o objetivo de apontar a importância do brincar como área de acontecimentos ricos para conhecer aquele que vem à terapia ocupacional. Pretende discutir o espaço do brincar como sendo uma área de informações sobre a forma de ser e fazer do sujeito, orientando os caminhos de assistência em terapia ocupacional a partir das situações iniciais na relação entre paciente, atividades e terapeuta, que fornecem informações para a constituição do diagnóstico situacional. Para isso, utiliza fragmentos da história em terapia ocupacional construída a partir do convívio com uma criança com deficiência e seu brincar, inseridos no cotidiano, no espaço de sua casa. Nesse encontro do terapeuta com a criança e seu brincar, um conhecimento crescente de quem ela é e quais suas necessidades diminuem o risco de construir uma assistência voltada para a lesão neurológica ou para a falta, que são reais, mas existentes no sujeito, direcionando a assistência para as possibilidades do sujeito e o olhar do terapeuta para sua singularidade.
