TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL E FONOAUDIOLOGIA: UMA VISÃO INTERDISCIPLINAR NA MÚLTIPLA DEFICIÊNCIA
Abstract
Esse trabalho procura demonstrar a importância da interdisciplinaridade na facilitação do explorar da criança portadora de múltipla deficiência (paralisia cerebral e deficiência auditiva), favorecendo a evolução do processo cognitivo, lingüístico e psicossocial. Além disso, procura tecer considerações sobre a importância da avaliação e intervenção numa visão global da criança. Para tanto, aborda aspectos relacionados às alterações sensório–motoras da criança portadora de paralisia cerebral do tipo atetóide, suas implicações nas oportunidades de exploração adequada do meio e as conseqüências significativas da deficiência auditiva como fator associado neste quadro, levando-se em conta o desenvolvimento global da criança. Através do relato de um caso, procura discutir o quanto o atendimento terapêutico realizado conjuntamente por terapeuta ocupacional e fonoaudióloga, favorecendo o explorar adequado do meio, pode trazer de benefícios para a evolução da criança em todas as áreas do desenvolvimento.
